RRC Alumni Award

Are you a recent Red River College grad? Win $1,000 to put towards your future!

Apply now for the College’s Alumni Award, open to any and all RRC grads who’ve successfully completed an RRC program within the last 24 months. Applicants must demonstrate satisfactory academic performance, and a strong level of community and/or College involvement.

Applicants must also provide two letters of reference, as well as a formal letter that answers the following questions:

  • What can you tell us about yourself?
  • Tell us about your volunteer, community or College experience. How will this experience help you reach your career goal?
  • How will this award make a difference in your life?

Applications can be dropped off or sent directly to RRC’s Student Awards Office at the addresses below. Awards are presented annually at the Red River College Alumni Gala.

Distinguished Alumni Award

The Red River College Distinguished Alumni Award honours graduates of the College who have distinguished themselves in both their chosen profession and the community. It recognizes the outstanding personal and professional achievements of our finest graduates.

Nominations for this award must be received by March 31.

Honorary Diploma Award

Each year Red River College awards a Red River College Honorary Diploma to an individual who demonstrates high standards of excellence in their personal and professional achievements and whose involvement in the community is widely recognized.

Letters of reference and other documentation must be provided to support the achievements listed and must be received by the nomination deadlines. Further information about your candidate may be attached should the space provided not be sufficient. Additional supporting documentation shall not exceed 5 pages. The committee may request additional information.

DEADLINES FOR NOMINATIONS: Nominations are reviewed twice a year by the committee. The date for receipt of nominations is December 7th of every year.

Nominations will be held on file for two years. Any additional support information must be provided by annual nomination deadlines.

Nominations will be reviewed by the Honorary Awards Committee. Also, this committee may actively seek candidates independently of nomination for this award.

The Committee will recommend candidates for the Honorary Diploma to the College President, who will then forward the names to the College Board of Governors for ratification.

The Honorary Diploma will be presented at convocation ceremony. The recipient must be present to receive the award.
