Volunteer Opportunities

Student volunteers are needed for the following:

  • Setup monitor, and disassemble session equipment
  • Introduce and thank session hosts / dignitaries
  • Register delegates
  • Promote conference
  • Provide general assistance

Benefits of Volunteering

All student volunteers will get:

  • an opportunity to network with business and industry leaders.
  • valuable experience in organizing and running a business conference.
  • a letter of recommendation from the Chairperson of the Conference Steering Committee.
  • a discount on the conference registration fee.
  • an invitation to the post-conference Wine and Cheese Reception.

Volunteer Positions

Student volunteers are required for the following areas:


Promotions
 - give several 5 - 10 minute in-class presentations, providing information and promoting the business conference to fellow students. 


Registrations
 - prepare registration packages, greet and register conference participants.


Equipment
 - ensure equipment is available and working properly, help with setup and removal as necessary.


Speaker introductions
 - introduce keynote and session speakers to the audience, thank speakers after their presentations.


Greeters
 - greet keynote and session speakers, guide presenters to VIP lounge, locate tables, and provide assistance to conference participants as needed.

Signing Up

To sign up for any of the above volunteer positions, come to an information session and fill out the sign-up sheet. You can also sign up by  emailing your name, program/year, phone, email, and the position you’re interested in, to Shelly Chlan at schlan@rrc.mb.ca.
