The campus Food Bank, located in Trailer L, is sponsored by the Students’ Association and is operated by a student coordinator. Students, along with their dependents, who need extra food on a regular or casual basis, can fill out a request form to receive a hamper.
Request forms are available at the SA Office (CM 20) and the ACCESS Office (F 210). Please note the Food Bank dates and times will be posted at the Students’ Association office as well as billboards around the college. Hampers are available every two weeks. Forms must be filled out two days prior to every food bank day and information complete. Request forms are submitted to the SA office. Students must bring medical cards and student cards along with some bags.
Although Winnipeg Harvest supports the Food Bank, donations of non-perishable goods may be deposited in the “Big Wooden Bin” outside the SA office. Food items are always welcomed and will be put to good use. Suggested items of non-perishable goods are listed on the outside of the bin.
We also have coin donation boxes located throughout the campus for those wanting to donate to the Food Bank. These coin boxes are found in the SA Office, The Ox student store, the Collage Bookstore, the Buffalo Cafeteria, the Voyageur and Otto’s Cafeteria. Other cash donations are accepted at the RRC Students’ Association Office during regular office hours.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated and goes a long way in making the Food Bank a valuable support service to students.
