General Information

All of our classrooms and computer labs have whiteboards, XGA (1024 x 768) resolution data projectors mounted on the ceiling and projection screens. The majority of our classrooms have network connections and desktop plug-ins. The portable tables that we use for special events are round tables that are 60 inch diameter and rectangular tables that are 72 inch in length.

Boardrooms

Each boardroom has laptop connections on the boardroom table and a telephone available for local calls.

Tim Horton’s (Cafeteria)

This cafeteria can be used in a number of configurations. As this area is used as a cafeteria it requires a significant amount of time to set up and to change configurations. A set-up fee may be charged dependant on the type of event and set up required.

Heritage Room (P312)

The Heritage Room has been reconstructed to match its original look as a boardroom. Currently this room is used as a classroom, but can be reconfigured for special events.

CGA Manitoba Room (P107)

The CGA Manitoba Room can be configured for a wide variety of uses to meet your needs.

Theatre Style = 140 (adding catering reduces seating capacity to 120)

Great West Life Lecture Theatre (A104)

The Great West Life Lecture Theatre is a state of the art lecture facility that allows for a wide variety of lecture styles using a variety of audio-visual technology.

Loewen Atrium

The Loewen Atrium is an excellent venue for a small reception. As this area is a common area of the College, it could require a significant amount of time to set-up depending on the set up required. A set-up fee may be required dependant on the type of event and the configuration required. Maximum Capacity = 300

Trade Fair: Maximum 15 tables (6 ft Rectangular Tables)
Reception: 100 – 175 (maximum seating 60 – 90)

Video Conference Centre (P310)

Video Conferencing services are available for rent on an hourly basis. A technician must be booked to use video conferencing and a test to ensure the connection available is done prior to the meeting.

Video Type = IP (Internet Protocol only)

Note: Notre Dame Campus also has Video Conferencing services for up to 20 people.

Computer Labs

Our PC and Mac computer labs have whiteboards, XGA (1024 x 768) resolution data projectors mounted on the ceiling, projection screens and ranging in capacity from 20 – 35 people.

Laptop Classrooms

The majority of our classrooms are laptop capable and has whiteboards, XGA (1024 x 768) resolution data projectors mounted on the ceiling and projection screens. These rooms range from a capacity of 15 – 35 people.

Foley Studio (A109)

A 294 sq ft professionally designed recording studio with up to 12 sources connected to a Sony DMX-R100 digital mixer. Recording is done to a Digidesign ProTools HD multi-track recording system running on a Macintosh G5. There are four RHODE NT1A condenser microphones available. The studio is equipped to produce a full multi-channel 5.1 surround program as a finished product.

CanWest Global Television Studio (W118)

The CanWest Global Television Studio is a modern acoustically and lighting controlled environment 1232 sq ft in size. There is a full lighting grid with approximately 20,000 watts of lighting available on a programmable dimmer bank. There are three pedestal mount video cameras; portable cameras are also available and all connected to a digital video switcher which has 2D effects built in. For audio there are multiple inputs around the studio terminating at a Sony DMX-R100 digital mixer. Program material can be recorded to DVCam tape or directly to a Mac Pro running Final Cut Pro v.5.1.4.
Note: Clients must book a technician to use television studio.
