The people of Winnipeg are as culturally and ethnically diverse as any city in Canada. In some cases the people of Winnipeg can trace their immigrant heritage back many generations while others have recently arrived in Winnipeg and Canada. The diversity of Winnipeg and its tradition of welcoming new immigrants to the city ensures that Winnipeg is a city full of creative energy.
